hired.gd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
By using hired.gd you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.
1. Who we are
hired.gd is a job board serving Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. Data we collect
Job seekers
- Account data: email address (required to create an account and receive magic links).
- Profile data: full name, phone number (optional), professional headline (optional).
- CV / resume: the file you upload to your profile or to a specific application (PDF or DOCX).
- Application data: cover letter text, the job applied for, and the date of application.
Employers
- Account data: email address.
- Company profile: company name, contact email, website, description, and logo.
- Job listings: all content you submit when posting a job.
All users (automatically collected)
- IP address: recorded during authentication, form submissions, and certain security events.
- User agent: browser and device information captured in session and security log records.
- Usage data: job view counts and apply-click counts are tracked in aggregate, not tied to individual user identities.
Newsletter subscribers
If you sign up for job alerts, we collect your email address and optionally your category preferences.
3. How we use your data
- To operate the platform — matching job seekers with job listings and delivering applications to employers.
- To authenticate you via magic link emails.
- To send you transactional emails: application confirmations, login links, job approval notifications, and expiry reminders.
- To send job alert emails if you subscribed.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse (rate limiting, security logging).
- To improve the platform through aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third-party marketing platforms.
4. File storage
CVs (resumes) and company logos are stored in a private cloud storage bucket (Cloudflare R2). Files are not publicly accessible. CVs are served to authorised employers only through secure, time-limited links that expire after one hour.
CV retention: CVs attached to applications are automatically deleted 90 days after the application was submitted. Your profile CV (saved to your account) is retained until you replace or delete it. Company logos are retained until the company account is deleted.
5. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate hired.gd:
- Resend — email delivery service used to send magic links and transactional notifications. Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose.
- Cloudflare R2— cloud object storage used to securely store CVs and company logos. Files are stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure.
- Upstash Redis— rate limiting service. IP addresses are used to enforce request rate limits and are processed by Upstash's infrastructure. We do not store full IP address histories beyond our own security logs.
These services are used solely to operate hired.gd and are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing or other purposes beyond providing the service to us.
6. Data sharing
When you apply for a job, the following information is shared with the employer who posted that listing:
- Your name and email address
- Your cover letter
- Your CV (accessible via your profile or the uploaded file for that application)
Employers are required by our Terms of Use to handle this information lawfully and only for the purpose of assessing your application. We are not responsible for how employers handle data after it is delivered through the platform.
We do not share your data with any other third parties except as described in Section 5 (service providers) or as required by law.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all connections.
- Private file storage with time-limited access links for CVs.
- Magic link authentication — no passwords stored.
- Security event logging to detect and respond to anomalous activity.
- Rate limiting on all public-facing forms to prevent abuse.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
8. Cookies and tracking
hired.gd uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential to the operation of the Site and does not track your activity across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data by updating your profile.
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Withdraw consent for job alert emails by unsubscribing at any time.
- Object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

10. Data retention
- Application CVs: deleted 90 days after the application was submitted.
- Profile CVs: retained until replaced or account is deleted.
- Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
- Security logs: retained for up to 12 months for fraud prevention purposes.
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe.
11. Children's privacy
hired.gd is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email where practicable.
